SUSSEX TORNADOS - ITV LETS GET GOLD - 5TH JULY 2012

The Sussex Tornados Cheerleaders were contacted by Thames TV about the brand new ITV1 Sports Entertainment show to be aired in July 2012. After meeting a lot of requirements, and proving to their producers we were good enough for the show, last night (Thursday 5th July) we were finally aired to the nation.

With Host Vernon Kay and Celebrity Judges Freddie Flintoff, Rio Ferdinand, Martine McCutcheon and Une Healy, the Sussex Tornados had a blast!! It was a once in a lifetime opportunity where the team got to tell their story of how they work hard and have fun, whilst making new friends and feeling part of one big family. Lets Get Gold is a one off entertainment programme to support the up and coming Olympics. It was a competition of 15 sports teams from all over the country turning their sport into an entertaining spectacular with music, effects and props. The Sussex Tornados had the spaceship theme, but no equipment to enhance the performance, just themselves and some safety mats. They unfortunately didn't make it through to the live final for the chance to win £100,000 for their teams, but they have nothing but positive feedback after promoting not only themselves as a team but also the local community and cheerleading in the UK. They would like to thank everyone for their kind words and support, and would like to say a HUGE well done to all of the Co-Ed team that performed and gave the Sussex Tornados the promotion it needed.
