COACHES COMMENTS:

PEEWEE CHEER NOVICE - A lot of our Peewees moved into our Junior Squad before the competition so we had lots of new cheerleaders representing us in this division. They were AWESOME!!!!! they looked fantastic on that floor, and what a step up from last year, they returned last year with 5th place this year with 3rd. Well done to Hannah and Kelly who coached them for the competition, your hard work payed off. so proud of you guys, you are wokring your way up every year. You are the future of the cheerleading world and boy you are going to be fantastic by the time you make senior!!!!

JUNIOR COED ADVANCED: Well after returning last year from BCA Southern with 1st place in intermediate, we believed it was time to take them to the next level. They took the challenge in their strides and worked their butts off for the past few months. They have amazed us, we have 4 out of 5 flyers double twisting, and single basing. We thought we would take them to the competition this year to compete in advanced and that it would take them a while to work thier way up in advanced to 1st place. But 1st year and 1st place. What more can us your coaches ask for. Some stunts were a little shaky but you pulled it off. Good job guys and gals sooooo proud! Next up USA no rest for us now!!

SENIOR COED ADVANCED: What can we say........ seen as we were the only one in the competition as everyone else is remaining at intermediate level we pretty much had it in the bag before we got on the floor, but we knew we still had to make 70% of the scores otherwise we would be coming 2nd out of 1.... that would not of been a good look. It was good for us we knew we had no pressure and that we could just go and showcase our routine. We definately did that.... it felt fantastic!!! Awesome job STC so proud of you all, 4th year running still holding the champion title!!!! Bring on 2008.

PEEWEE GROUP STUNT: Danielle Weston, Taylor, Brittany, Nicole Weller and Sophie Weston..... well done guys 5th place is a great achievment. your all new to group stunt and you did fantastic. Sophie learnt to twist out, ride a basket and full lib in 3 weeks and you pulled it off. Your advancing so fast we are so proud of you. Well Done!

JUNIOR ALLGIRL GROUP STUNT: Jacey Lund, Jodi Blackman, Saphire Wells, Vicky Birch and Sophie Hanson.... WOW this was one of the best results of the day, they came home from the same competition last year with 8th place........ To walk away with 2nd feels like 1st. Everything about the routine you did on that floor was perfect, you double twists were spot on, your baskets were the highest in the division and we are sooooo proud!! We will keep working on that now for the next comp!?

JUNIOR COED GROUP STUNT: Jake Barnard, Ellis Lund, Becky Avis, Becca Carman and Erron Smith... Another year another 1st place. You are used to reiceiving your champion title, but this comp was a tester as you had a brand new flyer who only joined us a couple months ago, and wow you pulled it off again. Erron's double twists were spot on and the routine was flowing and entertaining. Well done to jake especially for that end cupie you pulled it off, and held it.

SENIOR ALLGIRL GROUP STUNT: Hannah Ayling, Kelly Boiling, Carley Johnson, Collette Clear and Summer. Well done guys a couple of  slip ups but you carried on which showed your commitment. Well done to Summer who came to the squad a couple of months ago and was shoved in the deep end. To come away with a 5th place trophy was great.

SENIOR COED GROUP STUNT: Ben Barnard, Steve Hammond, Troy Johnson, Helen Coe and Lianne Weston. How long have we been fighting for this for the past 4 years we have been reciving our 2nd place trophys which we were more than happy with but we wanted that 1st place soooooo much. We worked so hard on that routine and it finally came to us, 1st place ------CHAMPIONS!!!! doing the routine felt fantastic and i swear the baskets are getting higher, i thought i was never gonna come down after the opening hello basket!!!! AWESOME JOB SOOOOO CHUFFED!!!

PARTNER STUNT TRIO: Ben Barnard, Steve Hammond and Lianne Weston.... this was the 2nd time we have entered this division, the 1st was at BCA Nationals in July where we walked away with 3rd place. We trained extra hard for this division as we wanted to have more advanced stunts. We pulled it off, We hit every stunt and we had the best fun!! The photos prove that.

We have ordered our photos and as soon as we get them they will be added here so keep checking back.

SUSSEX TORNADOS HAVE GONE FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH ESPECIALLY IN THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS, AS COACHES WE ARE SO PROUD, WE CAN ONLY TEACH THE ROUTINES WE CAN NOT HELP THEM STICK THEIR STUNTS OR SELL THEIR ROUTINES ONCE THEY GET ON THE FLOOR, THEY DO THAT ALL ON THEIR OWN. THEY ARE AN AWESOME GROUP OF YOUNG PEOPLE WHO WORK SO HARD TO ACHIEVE THE RESULTS THEY DESERVE. WE KNOW THEY WILL CONTINUE TO WORK HARD AND MAKE US PROUD. THANK YOU STC FOR AN AWESOME WEEKEND. WE ARE PROUD THAT EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO BE PART OF THE TORNADOS FAMILY THAT IS NOW 98 MEMBERS STRONG.

THANK YOU

LIANNE WESTON, HELEN COE, PHIL JEFFERYS.
